Christian Apparel

Blog, New Life No Comments

I wear t-shirts 99% of the time. Being a graphic artist, I like creative and clever t-shirt art work.  These are some t-shirts I designed and I am thinking of getting printed. Feel free to head to the Apparel department to see more designs. Please tell me what you think. If there’s anyone with more ideas, especially clever text, please post them here. Also, here are some names I thought of using for the Christian Apparel line: 1.Vertical Horizon 2. Not Ashamed 3. Broken Gear. 4. Found. 5. 3:16 Gear. Or maybe use a Hebrew or Greek word or phrase based on the Bible. Read more

The authentic stories on iamsecond.com provide insight into dealing with typical struggles of everyday living. These are stories that give hope to the lonely and the hurting, help from destructive lifestyles, and inspiration to the unfulfilled. You’ll discover people who’ve tried to go it alone and have failed. Find the hope, peace, and fulfillment they found. Be Second. I Am Second.

Brian Head Welch

Soon after I got saved, I jumped to my computer and got on to doing some research on the internet to try and figure out and understand what was happening to me. Brian’s video was one of the first clues I found and the  first video I saw from I Am Second. Actually, it was the first testimony I have ever seen or heard.

Brian’s testimony in certain ways is very close to my testimony. In some aspects, it is so close to mine it is eerie. Down to some details such as when I tested God by saying to Him “If you are real reveal yourself to me”.  And I had a friend telling me about Matthew 11:28. That was the first verse of the Bible I have ever heard and I heard it twice in two days! Once from my friend Jeremiah and once on Brian’s testimony. There were many more “coincidences” and similarities between Brian’s testimony and mine. For example, Brian’s daughter was a major reason for him to ask for Jesus in his heart, as was for me.

Vantage Points – Christian Convertion

Blog, New Life No Comments

Sunday, July 10, 4:00 am.

Here are some vantage points from an atheist and a Christian point of view:

Atheist’s point of view

When an unbeliever or an atheist converts to Christianity, other unbelievers see it this as the person being brainwashed and “having the wool pulled over their eyes”. Being blind and blindly following a faith and a “belief system” without any rationality or logic whatsoever. The atheist sees the Christian as a weak minded and diluted person who cannot “cope with reality” and therefore needs to rely on God for answers. More often than not the atheist will see Christians with disgust and hostility. This is because the atheist doesn’t understand what being a Christian truly is. It is far better, more convenient and easier for an atheist not to follow “God’s harsh rules”. “Why not live for yourself, here and now instead of for someone else? I refuse to bow down and worship anyone.” This is what I used to say, just like other PROUD atheists. It doesn’t make sense to atheist or unbeliever to follow anyone’s rules but their own. They believe Christianity is an “oppressive religion”.

Christian’s point of view

When an unbeliever or an atheist converts to Christianity, other Christians (joyfully) see it this as the person having the scales pulled from their eyes and being spiritually born (born again). This is a joyful experience for the fellow Christian because atheist and unbelievers are spiritually dead. And Christians, as anyone else, will joyfully celebrate a new life. The Christian sees the atheist and blind because he has not seen the Truth. Their truth has been based on theories and scientific logic alone. The atheist has his own system of belief; that there is nothing to believe in. They have to have FAITH that there is nothing bigger than them.

The Truth

The truth is atheists hate the idea of not being in control, but they are not. They do not want to submit to any authority if they don’t have to. They don’t want to be accountable for their own actions. And why should they? God gave them free will. Read more

The Puzzle

As an atheist I walked around unwilling to put any of this puzzle together, much less touch any piece of it. But some pieces were put in front of me and some even landed in my hands and it became hard to ignore. Read more

New Life – the last day of an atheist

Blog, New Life 7 Comments

Preface

This is my day of death as an atheist.

After I had realized I had an encounter with the Lord, I thought this was a unique or one in a million experience. Hearing what to me, had to be  God’s voice speak to me was something I have never experienced. Nothing short of a miracle. I thought, “Wow! What an amazing experience!”  Then as time passes I begin to hear more and more stories like mine. At first it surprised me a little. Then I kept hearing even more and more stories not much different than mine. And I thought to myself, “Wait a minute! This experience I had is not so unique! This isn’t a one in a million experience!”. But nevertheless, I am even more amazed every time I hear “one of these stories”. Why would I be amazed after hearing the same kind of story over and over again? Because it is God’s work. And God’s work will never cease to amaze me. God’s work doesn’t stop here either, now every time I look around, no matter where I am, I see God’s work. It has always been there in front of me. I just took it for granted. Read more
